The Murcia region of Spain has a fascinating history and many of the towns such as Cartegena and Murcia have buildings and ruins from the Moorish times. The road system in this area has been recently developed with a great deal of investment and you can access these towns easily from La Manga Club. 

 

If shopping is a must while your away, choose from Departments stores with the finest selection of goods or while away your morning mooching around the local markets, leather goods are great value.

 

The Mediterranean Sea is only minutes away and with wide stretches of beaches, some virtually uninhabited and small coves some with restaurants a sanctuary for some rest and relaxation. With no tide, the Mar Menor also offers safe bathing, snorkelling and water activities. On the promenade at Mar de Cristal and Cabo de Palos there are a selection of restaurants offering Paella and local sea fish.
